We do not recommend installing analogue CCTV camera systems, the technology is antiquated and the future lies in IP cameras, open standards and the internet. While you may wish to save your old equipment for as long as you can to maximize the return on investment, consider the quality of the picture that you are getting from your system. Would there be enough detail in the capture to identify any offending persons? For the price of a reasonable IP camera system it could quite likely be worth upgrading, after all don’t you want to catch the person, seeing a grainy washed out image may not be enough to prove in a court, with absolute certainty that this is the offender. Perhaps some of your existing camera setup is fine, but perhaps there are areas that need much higher resolution cameras, we are experts in integration all different types of systems to make them an easy to manage homogenous unit. We take a holistic approach to your needs and don’t only associate with one or two brands, there are many different options for many different needs.
CCTV is analogue based and uses old standards and cabling that can only offer three levels of resolution
D1 Resolution – 704 x 480
CIF Resolution – 352 x 240
QCIF Resolution – 176 x 120
Compare this with the IP cameras offering 1280×800 and upwards its easy to see why you would make the switch.
